Michael McGinn stunned many with his nightscapes of Newark in 2014 during his gallery exhibit at The Works called “A Sense of Place.” Among some of the paintings were the Courthouse and the Midland Theatre. McGinn started his career in art after being hired in layout production and design by a printing company, but after his work grew in popularity, he quit his job and became a self-employed artist.
