William C. Kashner (July 18, 1922 - March 14, 1989) was a glassmaker in Newark, Ohio. His dream was to bring handmade glass back to Newark after the closing of the Heisey Glass Company in 1958. Kashner attended Purdue University and graduated with a chemistry degree. He worked at Owens Corning for 12 years and for Holophane across several years. He and his wife, Martha Kashner sold handmade glasswork through their company, Techniglas Inc. Together, they had five children.[1]
