William Wright

William Shrewsburg Wright, president of the Jewett Car Company, was born on September 15, 1865 in Riverside, Ohio, a suburb of Cincinnati. He and his wife, Bessie Barkley, had two daughters, Bessie Wright and Anne Lindsay Wright. Before his affiliation with the Jewett Car Company, he was an engineering student at the Ohio State University, which led him into the trade of public transportation. William Shrewsburg Wright died late February 1949 at his home, located at 121 Hudson Avenue, from complications due to a long illness.
