Chad Sines (June 29, 1974 present) took five years to find a gallery that would give him a one- man show. Finally, Lindsay Gallery, a folk-art gallery in Columbus, gave him one. Sines first showed his work there in a two-man show in 2002. Then in 2003, he went solo at the gallery. Duff Lindsay, the gallery owner, liked Sines’ work immensely for its simple honesty [1]. The paintings are done mostly on plywood, in order to get an uneven effect. The work is simple and brightly colored with reds, oranges, yellows and greens. Sines graduated from Heath High School and was then married to Amanda Sines. [2] Together, they have two children.
