Andy Gillespie
From Licking County Library's Wiki!
Andy Gillespie was born in Liverpool, England, but decided to come to America after being accepted into Ohio State University for exercise physiology. He moved to Chicago where he studied photography and only later moved to Licking County. His interest in carving stone began when, at 55 years old, he saw an African stone art exhibit at the Franklin Park Conservatory. Ever since, he has practiced carving stone, which to him is a very spiritual activity, in order to make religious figures and other sculptures. [1]
