William Everett Swern

William Everett Swern was born in Newark on February 10, 1887. He is known for designing an innovative way to build tires called the Swernbuild System. After the stock market crash of 1929, Swern reluctantly sold his patent for the Swernbuild System to Goodyear.[1]
