Walter Ryan (September 30, 1922 - 2011) was a Conrail Railroad employee and accomplished sculptor. His carvings spanned from animals such as deer, birds, and moose to furniture and figurines. He completed a Last Supper sculpture as well as a life-size representation of his grandson Justin who worked as a newspaper carrier when he was 10. The project took him four months to carve the different pieces and finally glue them together. He was married to Libby Ryan. [1]
