John Fincato is a woodcarving teacher. He was a technician at the Newark Air Force Base in 1981 when he was told he would have less than two years to live due to a malformation of blood vessels in his brain. After surgery, he was paralyzed on the right side of his body, so his left arm had to take over his artistic passion of woodcarving. [1]
