Beckman Grocery was a common grocery outlet in the early 1900s. There were a total of four stores that were located at the intersections of Moull Street and Woods Avenue, 10th Street near Woods Avenue, 10th Street and Granville Street, and in the south end of Fleek Avenue. The store also had a basketball team that played in the Newark City League and Newark Industrial League. [1]
