The National Trail Schoolhouse was built around the year 1900, and served as a school for grades 1-12. In 1949, the school closed and the building remained vacant for many years. On June 24, 2001, the schoolhouse was opened as a bed and breakfast called the Brownsville Inn. The building is still located off of Ohio 668 in Brownsville.[1]
