Beech Land was more of a post office than a community. The postmaster, Stephen C. Williams, ran the post office in his house on Route 16 east of Pataskala, from 1850 to 1854. The post office sent out mail once a week, every Wednesday, due to the lack of visitation from the stagecoach. The post office closed on October 9, 1855.[1]
