Fox Den School was located on Loches Road near St. Louisville. The school educated students ranging from grades 1 through 8. A former student, Ella (Sells) Chopson remembered a story about the teacher, Edward Stradley. Mr. Stradley was chopping wood for the stove and a splinter got in his eye, resulting in blindness in that eye. The school burned down as a result of a coal stove fire. [1]
