Licking County is located near the geographical center of Ohio. It's history dates back to 1802 when it was first settled by Elias Hughes and [John Ratliff]]. The county became officially incorporated under the State of Ohio in 1833, with Newark as its county seat. It's estimated population in 2013 was 168,375.
