Fleatown was once located at the intersection of Ohio 13 and White Chapel Road, north of Jacksontown. A stagecoach inn was located on the intersection corner, which led to the town getting its name. The area became known as Fleatown after the inn became infested with fleas from the animals in the area. The town was included in a book titled, Passing Gas: And Other Towns Along the American Highway. [1]
