Mary Sherwood Wright Jones (November 26, 1892—January 22, 1985) was a Licking County artist. She illustrated children’s books and magazines, sketched, and painted for her family and friends as well as people nationwide. In the 1920s, Jones was sporadically published by “My Weekly Reader” as illustrator for their children’s magazine publication, but in the 1930s, she became a permanent illustrator. Jones attended art school in New York City. With her husband, Clarence, she had two children, Fanny and Molly.
